CD & DVD Publishing and Duplication/Replication
We are pleased to formally offer disc publishing services. Our growing content-delivery clientele frequently requests CD and DVD duplication and we've been happy to service their needs on many projects over the last few years. Our team members' extensive experience in data services and content delivery has equipped them the skills and know-how to make adding these services a snap.
Discs are still significantly cheaper per capacity than USB flash drives and they are much more disposable -- so when repeatedly writing to the media is not necessary they are a practical alternative.
Printing & Packaging
We offer beautiful full-color process printing on all of our disc media and packaging. Packaging options include standard DVD case, dual-disc DVD case, standard CD jewel case, PVC sleeves, and card-stock paper sleeves.
Disc Media
CDs can be produced as audio discs, CD-ROM, data-only discs, and even mp3-playable discs. DVDs come in single and dual-layer formats and can be produced as playable discs (in conventional DVD players and PCs) or data-only.
We can produce standard-size disc media (12cm diameter) and mini discs (8cm) for both CDs and DVDs. The mini size fits into the inner ring of your disc drive or in any top-loading disc player that does not play vertically.
Duplication vs. Replication
Duplication is the process of creating copies of a disc by burning the data onto blank media in the same way you would create a disc on your PC. Duplication is usually suitable for smaller runs; it is more cost effective and faster when the quantity isn't especially large.
Replication is the process of pressing the same exact kind of data onto a disc from a glass master plate. When you buy an audio CD, CD-ROM, or video DVD at the store, you're buying a disc that's been pressed in this manner. Replication is better suited for retail applications and large runs in general. It is faster and more economical on a larger scale.
